The Houthi militia uses several smart tactics to attract personalities that are capable of mobilizing fighters for their project.

According to an Iranian tactic, the militia does not hesitate to dispose them as soon as the recruiting capacity recedes or ends.

The Houthi militia relies on  Lebanese Hezbollah experts to conduct policy and planning, and even to conduct character analysis and to prepare assessment reports for those subject to "educational and military" courses, especially "leadership" courses.

In this report, "NewsYemen" presents a survey summary of the role of Lebanese experts in the Houthi militia, as revealed by a field commander in the Houthi group, who was injured in a battlefield with with Joint Resistance.

"Abu Harb," a nickname chosen by himself in this report stated that he belongs to the Yemen's Military Institution, and he had received training courses in the nineties in a number of countries, which earned him scientific and practical experience.

He added that he was one of many officers who joined the Houthi militia under the influence of the group's deceptive rhetoric speech from 2015 to 2018, but the Houthis nevertheless saw him along with his colleagues with suspicion.

He said: "I discovered after deepening within the group that they were sending four spies for every ten officers participating in the courses, especially the military courses, and we were surprised by the elements of the Preventive Security of the militia attending to hold meetings with any officer criticized the group within the closed group."

NewsYemen asked Abu Harb about the Houthi methods to attract personalities to mobilize or recruit fighters, Abu Harb said that he worked as a director for one of the sovereign departments in one of the important provinces, and there was a Houthi effective supervisor who controls all the security points inside the city and a number of centers".

He added: "I asked about the Houthi supervisor and I was surprised that he was from my area. He was subjected to cultural, religious and military courses, and based on the assessment of the leadership of the group, they found him reckless and inclined to aggressive actions, based on this behaviors, he was gotten the security file".

He added that the Houthis asked the supervisor to mobilize and recruit people who trusted them in his area, in the framework of his duties as a Houthi supervisor then he indeed brought more than 80 young people and distributed them in the city's security centers and security check points.

Abu Harb reported that after a short period of time these young people were subjected to secret courses and were sent at fronts on small groups of "3-5" without the knowledge of the security official, and after more than 60 have been killed, the Houthi militia ousted the security supervisor and handed the post over to one of those who came from Sa'ada province.

Abu Harb added that the Houthi militia handed over to the supervisor three military vehicles, after his removal from the post, and ordered him to led a group of fighters in areas west of Taiz province in coinciding with the military operations of the Joint Resistance to liberate Khaled Military Camp where many Houthis have been killed while he, the Houthi supervisor, survived.

Sa'ada is a "barracks" for Lebanese Experts

Abu Harb said that Sa'ada province is the main barracks of Lebanese experts in the province, northern Yemen.

Early in the war, Lebanese experts have arrived in Yemen in the field of training and manufacturing, and ''I knew that when I was given a quality course in Sa'ada, because of my practical nature with the Houthis".

He noted that he met with a number of Lebanese experts who crossed Yemen in forged Yemeni passports, in addition to Syrian passports. He noted that Hezbollah elements specialized in training Houthi fighters in the manufacture and processing of IEDs and planting mines, as well as courses on how to act when one was captured by government forces.

He said that in one of the Houthi sessions they discussed the progress of the government forces in al-Jawf and Midi in Hajjah province and the possibility of strengthening the Houthi forces in Sa'ada to secure it. One of the Lebanese experts said: " do not worry about Sa'ada, if Yemen falls, Sa'ada will not fall".
