Armed clashes in Marib province widened

Armed clashes between al-Shraf tribes and Marib governmental forces continued late Wednesday outside Marib city, a local source said to NewsYemen.
The source added that the armed clashes between the two parties continued, using heavy and medium weapons nearby al-Jafenah, western Marib.
Al-Ashraf gunmen arrived nearby al-Jafenah area towards Serwah district amid the governmental forces spread large forces at the western entrance of Marib city, he said.
He added a joint forces of the Security and army closed the main road at the entrance of Marib city and prevented the entry and exit, to and from, al-Jafenah area towards the east.
Earlier, a son of Islah leader in Marib province, and a number of gunmen were killed in armed clashes in Marib city, eastern Yemen over a piece of land dispute.
