New crime of rape in Taiz, relatives accuse Prosecution of procrastination

The incident took place on February 6 at al-Maghrabah Mosque in al-Daeri road, and the rape was confirmed by the medical reports.
The case in now pending at the Prosecution, relatives complain of procrastination in the child case and for not refer the case to the court.
A local organization monitored and reported the security services nine cases of rape of children in the past months, and there are other cases families of victims avoid to talk or to report for fear of reprisals.
In its latest report, Amnesty International also documented five stories of horrific rape of children in Taiz, and Taiz governor Nabil Shamsan quickly ordered to investigate the case files and announce the results to rein in the crime.
