The Houthi militias prevented on Friday the head of the Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC) the General Michael Lollesgaard to attend a meeting with the Government team in al-Hodeida city.

A source at the team said that the meeting is to take place in areas controlled by government forces in al-Hodeida city, as the meeting was scheduled on Friday.

Lollesgaard had held a meeting with representatives of the Houthi militias without reaching an agreement.

He had reached a revised plan on redeployment in al-Hodeida city.

"The plan stipulates that observers should be deployed in the areas of the withdrawal, rather than security forces, which will be deployed later after inspecting their identities, and coast guard personnel for the second phase of redeployment," Sky News Arabiya reported.

Earlier, a member of the government team in the al-Hodeida at the RCC the Brigadier General Sadiq Duwaid said that ''the new plan "is not very different from its predecessor except in some items, especially with regard to the form of forces that would secure the ports."
