35th Armored Brigade uncovers information on smuggling weapons in Taiz

The Major Waheeb al-Yusufi of the 35th Armored Brigade said that one of the trucks drivers admitted that contraband materials, nitrates, flammable fertilizers, and other materials, were hidden under the roof of the top truck at the front of the truck, the 200 bags were put inside after welding and painting the truck so as not to be detected by the security checkpoints. 

The driver also admitted that the quantity was loaded at the coastal area by a person called M. A. and sent to a person named "Abu Khalid", the latter was tracked down and proved to be responsible for making explosives for the Houthi militias in al-Hawban area, east Taiz province. 

The other driver M.M.N.N. admitted that the shipment was loaded like the spherical steel and steel materials, using them as shrapnel and the improvised explosive devices.

During the investigations, it was reported that in each basket there are 3 to 4 fish were placed to camouflage the contraband materials that were loaded on a coastal area in the south of the country and sent to an unknown person to meet him in Demnat Khadeer district.

The 35th Brigade Commander Adnan al-Hammadi said that the brigade forces thwarted the four trucks carrying a large quantity of the seized material of the explosive TNT, raw acetate, and potassium nitrate, which are mixed to manufacture high explosives.
