A local source and eyewitnesses told #Newsyemen that Houthi militia transferred 500 electrical generators from a warehouse belonging to the General Authority for Rural Electricity and Water (GAREW) in al-Hodaidah city, west Yemen.

The source said that the electrical generators were stored in a warehouse belonging to the Authority in al-Matar street in al-Hawk district, pointing out that the Houthi militia looted the generators and moved them through the northern port of the city towards Sa'ada province.

The eyewitnesses said that they saw people have taken generators on dozens of trucks, including cables of high-transmission lines over three days.

Forty trucks left the warehouses, while three cranes were shipping large and medium electrical transformers on other trucks, they said.

The Houthi militia seized other equipment belonging to the General Electric Corporation in Kilo 4 in al-Hodaidah city, and blew up the stores after the joint forces approached, and then returned to detonate them in a remote control, after being defeated from the site.
