Leader of 22nd Brigade survives assassination attempt

A source at the Defense Ministry said on Friday that the brigadier Abdo Abdullah al-Mekhlafi, a leader of 22nd Brigade survived an assassination attempt while on his to Marib province.
Unknown gunmen targeted the brigadier al-Mekhlafi in al-Rawd area a road linking al-Jawf-Marib provinces. Clashes were erupted upon the assassination attempt.
The source said that al-Mekhlafi did not hurt while one of his escort injured, the fifth military region opened an investigation in the accident.
