Local residents in the al-Oud area of Ibb governorate said that al-Houthi militia had drawn dozens of young men from the area to the fighting fronts in Nehm and al-Jawf.

They explained that the militia had lured their children to a training course, in Al-'Oud, under the pretext of protecting the area and staying in it, according to an agreement they concluded with the Sheikhs and the district leaders.

They added that after completing the training period within the region on the use of weapons, the militia informed the recruits that they would take them field visits to other fronts as a kind of training for a period of 48 hours and be returned.

According to the families, it has been twenty days since their children left the area, and all the news about them was interrupted, due to the confiscation of their phones and all means of communication by the Houthi militia.

The residents said, they tried to follow the news of their recruited children, and they got information stating that they were on the fronts of Nehm, Al-Jawf and Marib, and when they contacted militia supervisors from the area's residents, they claimed that they were in safe places.

They stated that a member of the Al-'Oud region was wounded in Nehm front, and he was prevented by the Houthi militia to communicate with his family in Ibb, and did not allow him to visit him after he was transferred to receive treatment in a hospital in the capital, Sanaa.

The wounded brother said that the latter's injury was serious and was not receiving any treatment, adding that he had informed him that the leaders of the Houthi militia in Oud had lured them and transported them to the front of the fronts in the al-Jawf junction, east of Sanaa.

He added that the Houthi militia had defined their tasks and scope of movement and warned them not to move out of these squares or consider going back because that would expose them to sniping or arresting them.
