استمعت لجنة صياغة الدستور اليمنية، المتواجدة حالياً في ألمانيا، إلى عروض نظرية من خبراء دوليين حول النظم الانتخابية وإدارة الانتخابات وآليات الطعون في نظم الانتخابات. وتضمنت العروض النظرية تجارب دولية للمقارنة في كيفية إدارة الانتخابات وضمان استقلالية الهيئات التي تدير الانتخابات وهياكلها ومستوياتها، وذلك للاستفادة منها أثناء صياغة الدستور اليمني الجديد.

أكد حزب المؤتمر الشعبي، نجاة أحد قيادته في محافظة الحديدة، من محاولة اغتيال بالقرب من المجمع الحكومي بمديرية بيت الفقيه. وأوضح فرع الحزب في المحافظة، أن مسلحين أطلقوا وابلاً من الرصاص على موكب، عضو البرلمان، وعضو اللجنة الدائمة للمؤتمر، إبراهيم شعيب الفاشق.

أعلن جهاز الأمن القومي عن تمكن الجهاز في عملية نوعية نفذها في العاصمة من إلقاء القبض علي القيادي في تنظيم القاعدة الإرهابي عبد الله خالد علي صالح الصيعري المكنى" أبو حمزة الشروري" والذي يعتبر أحد عناصر الخلية الإرهابية التي نفذت الحادث الإرهابي والإجرامي الذي تم فيه ذبح الجنود في منطقة حوطة سيئون بمحافظة حضرموت في الـ 8 من أغسطس الماضي .
