Al-Alimi's statements about Al-Mahra raise the madness of the smuggling mafia.. Al-Huraizy: Al-Houthi is not our enemy
English - Sunday 20 August 2023 الساعة 06:38 pmThe statements made by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, during his visit to Al-Mahra Governorate, angered the leaders of the so-called sit-in committee supported by Oman and the Houthi and Muslim Brotherhood groups.
In his speech before the expanded general meeting of the local authority, and the security, military and social leaders in Al-Mahra Governorate, Al-Alimi pointed out to the breaches that the governorate and the liberated areas are exposed to by terrorist groups and organizations and their service with the Iran-backed Houthi group.
Al-Alimi emphasized the role of Al-Mahra as the eastern gate to Yemen, and that it has become a front line to confront the Houthi militia, as a result of the breaches that it is witnessing through the smuggling of weapons and drugs to the militias, calling on the people of Al-Mahrah to be vigilant in the face of the threat of penetration by terrorist organizations and groups, and their open service with the Houthi militia.
While Al-Alimi praised the role of the security and military agencies in seizing dozens of smuggling operations, he revealed that he had issued directives to the government to activate the anti-smuggling law, which provides for granting 10% of the value of smuggled seizures to whoever seizes them, stressing that this will motivate the security and military forces to seize more smuggling operations.
These statements and Al-Alimi's talk about the smuggling operations sparked the madness of the leaders of the so-called "sit-in committee", which they considered a direct attack against them, as said by the head of the committee, Sheikh / Ali Salem Al-Huraizy, who is accused of his involvement in managing and facilitating smuggling operations in the governorate.
Al-Huraizy, in a speech broadcast by the Brotherhood's "Al-Mahria" channel, renewed his position by not recognizing the legitimacy of Al-Alimi and the Presidential Leadership Council, and that it is a council appointed by the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and that the president who recognizes it is Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
Al-Huraizy did not hide his anger at Al-Alimi's talk about the infiltration of Al-Mahra through networks smuggling weapons and drugs for the benefit of the Houthi group, and he protested against Al-Alimi's attack in his speech against the Iranian-backed group from inside Al-Mahra.
Al-Huraizy denounced Al-Alimi's attack against the Houthi group, accusing it of infiltrating Al-Mahrah through smuggling operations, and said: For me, Al-Houthi is not my enemy.
Observers believe that Al-Huraizy's emotional statements against Al-Alimi are clear evidence of the servitude of leaders and entities in Al-Mahrah to the Houthi group by managing and facilitating the smuggling of weapons and drugs to it from Iran through the coasts and lands of the province.
