50 members of the Supreme Committee of the Hadramout Inclusive Conference call for an urgent extraordinary meeting

The newspaper reported the text of a letter that the fifty members sent on Tuesday to the head of the Hadramout Conference, Amr bin Habrish, inviting him to hold an urgent meeting within a maximum period of 10 days.
According to the text of the letter, the fifty members called on Ibn Habrish to convene the extraordinary session of the Hadhramaut Inclusive Conference to take an explicit and clear position by the Supreme Authority of the Conference towards the Hadhramaut National Council, so that this position entails preserving the independence and impartiality of the decision of the Inclusive Conference and making it at the same distance from all the components that It has become threatening a sharp and dangerous division in Hadrami society that threatens the unity of Hadramout and its social fabric, God forbid," according to the expression of the letter.
The members of the supreme body of the inclusive conference who sent the letter referred to what they described as the responsible position of the conference president, Ibn Habrish, by referring the issue of participation or non-participation in the membership of the (National Council) to the competent authority concerned with decision-making, which is the supreme body of the Hadramout Inclusive Conference.
The letter stated that due to the presence of those practicing participation in the (constituent body) in the name of the Hadramout Inclusive Conference, in a manner that contradicts the decision of the meeting of the Presidency and the General Secretariat held on Monday, July 24, 2023.
The Supreme Body of the Hadhramaut Inclusive Conference includes 161 members, and no less than three thousand members in the Hadrami Inclusive Conference.
The Hadhramaut Inclusive Conference issued a statement on June 21, following the announcement of the formation of the Hadhramaut National Council, in which it blessed the efforts reached that produced the Hadhramaut National Council, hoping that Hadramout would enjoy through this event a qualitative shift in its political and development future, in a way that enhances the factors of stability. Hadramout has been witnessing intense political movement, especially since last May, when the Southern Transitional Council held its National Assembly meeting in Mukalla, then the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia invited more than 70 political and social figures in Hadramout to Riyadh and sponsored their meetings, which lasted about a month and resulted in the announcement of the formation of the Hadramout National Council.
The announcement of the Hadramout National Council in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at that time was a remarkable event that sparked widespread controversy about the real goal behind the formation of this entity at the height of the political conflict in the province. A political struggle is being waged by multiple projects on the map of the province, on top of which is the project led by the Southern Transitional Council to restore the former southern state of the 1990 unity, so that Hadramout in this project would be a region within the framework of a federal southern state, which enjoys the support of a wide segment of the people of the province, and is matched by projects Multiple other symbols stand today as founders of the new council.
Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, spoke on Wednesday about the level the southern issue has reached at the international level.
Al-Bahsani said, during an expanded meeting with the political and tribal components and forces, representatives of federations, unions, civil society organizations, the youth and women sectors, and representatives of students in Hadramout University faculties, that the southern issue has become clear to the international and regional community, and that the great powers have come to understand the issue of the people of the south.
He pointed out that the struggle is still continuing under some difficult circumstances, and that mass political actions will achieve more successes in the southern arena, stressing that the political line pursued by the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council is the line of cooperation and coordination with the countries of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
