The struggle of the Houthi wings.. Al-Mashat plunders the lands of the "Hashemis of Sana'a"
English - Saturday 03 June 2023 الساعة 07:02 pmAbbas Zaid, the brother of (Hassan Zaid), the former minister in the Houthi government, accused Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the so-called "Supreme Political Council" affiliated with the militia, of plundering the lands of the "Hashemites" in Sana'a.
Zaid said that Al-Mashat supports his business partner, Morgan Ahmed Morgan, to plunder the lands of the Hashemites in Sanaa, and is working to protect him.
Zaid's accusations came in the form of a comment on a post on Facebook, in which his writer discussed the robbery of the Houthi leader, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on the lands of the Amran Cement Factory, north of Sana'a.
Al-Mashat, who hails from Saada Governorate (northern Yemen), is classified as the "Zanabeel" wing - as they are called locally - and they are Houthi elements who are loyal to the group in terms of belief, but they are outside the lineage.
In another comment, Abbas Zaid said that he has documents proving that Houthi leaders are forcing real estate and land owners to sell them at the prices they set.
He added that in the event that the owners refuse to sell, these Houthi leaders assign the State Real Estate Authority and the Ministry of Awqaf to claim that these properties belong to them, and then move military crews to rob the lands by force and kidnap their owners.
