Sana'a, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - intensified its festive activities with sectarian and sectarian dimensions, in conjunction with the 33rd National Day of the Republic of Yemen (the anniversary of the re-establishment of Yemeni unity on May 22, 1990).

Since the beginning of May 2023, the Houthi militia has harnessed state agencies and institutions in Sanaa to hold rhetorical and rallying events on the occasion of what it calls the anniversary of the scream in the face of the arrogant.

Contrary to what the residents of Sana'a were accustomed to before the Houthi coup in terms of patriotic celebrations and decorating streets, public squares, and government buildings with lights, flags of the Republic of Yemen, and pictures of development projects, the banners of the Houthi cry occupied the facades of government buildings, public streets, bridges, and tunnels.

And the group published large-sized banners at the entrances to the city of Sana'a and the public streets, glorifying the alleged cry and considering it a weapon against what it describes as the enemies of the nation.

In one of these banners, the Houthi militia claimed that the cry is "a religious position and not a partisan or sectarian act," in what is considered an intimidation of the opponents of the cry and a use of religion to pass the group's ideas and political goals.
