Aden, NewsYemen:

The Ministries of Transport, Industry and Trade in the legitimate government confirmed, on Wednesday, the absence of any amendment in the procedures for entering goods into various Yemeni ports, including the port of Hodeidah, which is under the control of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

This came, according to a statement issued after a meeting in the capital, Aden, which included the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Saleh Humaid, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Salem Salman, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Abu Bakr Baabid, the President of the Maritime Chamber, Talib Salim, and the shipping agents.

The statement confirmed that what the Houthi militia is marketing through its media regarding the Arab Coalition's agreement to divert shipping lines and cargo ships to the ports of Hodeidah are sheer lies and an attempt to circumvent the law and the mechanisms agreed upon with the Yemeni government, the coalition leadership and the United Nations.

The Ministries of Transport and Industry warned against being drawn into rumors by the Houthi militia to evade commitment to applying the legal procedures in force and under any justification, and they said in the statement: "This will expose the perpetrator to legal penalties, leading to the blacklist."

They stressed that "deterrent measures should be taken against ships that violate government decisions and procedures, as well as merchants and shipping agents who violate these decisions and procedures."

The statement alerted merchants and importers that the Ministries of Transport and Trade are about to announce a set of procedures and instructions that will reorganize the trade movement in the various ports in a way that guarantees easy and smooth arrival of goods and contributes to raising the efficiency of the process of transporting and delivering various goods and commodities.

The statement affirmed the Yemeni government's categorical rejection of the extortion practiced by the Houthi militia against the commercial and shipping sector, and the policy of tampering with the people's livelihood through suspension and prevention.
