The Brotherhood's Islah Party, the wing of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, continues to obstruct the efforts of the Presidential Council and the Yemeni government to re-correct the course of legitimacy, in order to direct the project to end the Houthi coup and restore the state.

Successive developments in Al-Jawf Governorate, following the insistence of the party that controls the joints of the governorate, rejected the recent appointment decisions issued by the Presidential Leadership Council, which overthrew the Brotherhood’s first man, Amin Al-Okimi, who held the positions of Governor of Al-Jawf and commander of its military axis.

The decision to appoint the new governor of Al-Jawf, Major General Hussein Al-Aji Al-Awadi, and Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Ashwal as the commander of the Al-Jawf axis, angered the Islah Party, which openly declared its rebellion from the first moments of the decision.

Despite the prevarication and denial statements made by the leadership of the Brotherhood’s Islah Party, which is present in Saudi Arabia or is still involved in the legitimate government by not rebelling against the decisions to overthrow their first man, what is happening on the ground denies this.  Since the issuance of the decision to appoint the new governor of Al-Jawf and the commander of its military axis at the end of last October, the Brotherhood leadership of the governorate refuses to surrender and continues its duties openly, indifferent to the presidential decisions.

The rejection of the presidential decisions in Al-Jawf, too, was accompanied by great support from the leadership of the local authority in Marib governorate, which is led by a member of the Presidential Leadership Council - the governor of Marib, Sultan Al-Arada, which refused to recognize the new governor and continued to deal with the dismissed governor about two months ago.

The governor of Al-Jawf, who was appointed from outside the Brotherhood’s circle, Major General Hussein Al-Awadi, came out with a clear and explicit statement to public opinion, revealing the truth about what is going on in terms of the previous administration’s continued refusal to hand him over the leadership of the governorate, and directing an explicit accusation against the Brotherhood’s Islah Party of standing behind this rebellion.

Al-Awadi accused the former Brotherhood administration of refusing to hand him over his work duties and continuing the financial disbursement through the central bank branch in Marib, indicating that the commander of the Al-Jawf military axis appointed alongside him also did not take over his work duties for the same reason.

Al-Awadi warned of the danger of the city of Al-Hazm remaining under the control of the Houthis and the neighboring Ma'rib governorate, pointing out that "disagreements impede the liberation of Al-Jawf and enable them to consolidate their influence in the governorate and continue their project to seize the lands of the people of the Dahm tribe and stir up conflicts between the tribes."  Presidential Council, Sultan Al-Arada, to take the necessary measures to end the rebellion against the decisions of the legitimacy, as he put it.

For their part, the political parties and organizations in Al-Jawf Governorate issued an important statement, in which they affirmed that what is happening in the governorate is a full-fledged rebellion, holding the Islah Party fully responsible for this rebellion.

A statement issued by the General People's Congress Party, the Yemeni Socialist Party, the Nasserist Party, and the Salafiyya Council in Al-Jawf declared their full support with the leadership of the Presidential Council and the leadership of the new governorate, represented by the governor, Major General Hussein Al-Aji Al-Awadi, in the direction of liberating the governorate from the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

The political parties and organizations expressed their regret at the role played by the Marib leadership, represented by the local authority, in terms of cooperation and collusion by directing government departments to continue dealing with the rebels and ignoring republican decisions.

Al-Jawf parties condemned the obstruction of the implementation of the republican decisions regarding conducting a process of receiving and handing over between the leadership of the predecessor governorate loyal to the Islah party and the successor governor appointed by a presidential decision, Major General Hussein Al-Aji Al-Awadi.

The parties affirmed that they reject any justifications or fallacies aimed at justifying the rebellion, and affirm that what is happening is a full-fledged rebellion, and that the Islah party bears responsibility for the rebellion.

The political parties and organizations in Al-Jawf called on the Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of the Sixth Region to assume responsibility for implementing the decision of the Presidential Council, which stipulated the appointment of Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Ashwal as the commander of the Al-Jawf axis, and that the military institution be far from partisan disputes and tensions in accordance with the constitution and the law.

Political parties and organizations called on the forces that rebelled against constitutional legitimacy to review their positions and put the national interest and unity ahead of personal and partisan interests that were formed during the war and in a way that violated national consensus and damaged the foundations of the existential battle with the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

The political parties and organizations in Al-Jawf Governorate affirm their full support with the leadership of the Presidential Council and the leadership of the governorate, represented by the governor, Major General Hussein Al-Aji Al-Awadi, in the direction of liberating the governorate from the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

The statement appreciated the generous support and the genuine Arab position by the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
