El Alimi arrived in Algeria, on Monday, with a chartered plane that he uses for his foreign travels, and it is the same plane that Newsemen revealed earlier that it was rented for 50 thousand dollars per day, distributed between flying hours, insurance of very high risks, waiting rent and accommodation for the plane and the dues of its crew.
A source at the Presidency of the Republic had revealed the refusal of former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to hand over the presidential plane that was parked at King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, while it was fully prepared, and all its crews.
He added that the presidential plane crew, whose monthly budget amounts to more than 100,000 dollars, in salaries and incentives, in addition to the costs of training courses they receive continuously in a number of countries.
However, a government source and through Saba news agency denied this news, and claimed that the plane was experiencing a technical malfunction and is currently being repaired, but it seems that the repairs have not been completed yet.
In this regard, the Yemeni journalist, Muhammad Al-Khamri, says that the joyful reception Al-Alimi received during his arrival in Algeria only disturbed him by seeing the chartered plane, which costs the exhausted public treasury more than fifty thousand dollars a day.
And he added, in a post on his Facebook account, “The presidential plane, a big mystery and an issue that it carries with a file, was bought in a corruption deal in which many names and officials were involved, and therefore approaching it is fraught with risks, and its crew was drawn from the relatives of the former Yemeni president, whose financial incentives were stopped.” Recently from Yemen, but they are still receiving other incentives from the presidency, despite the plane's malfunction and not operating for several years..!
