Tribal mediation concludes an agreement to lift the "Al-Rayyan sit-in" after it was infiltrated by the Houthis

On Monday, tribal mediation reached an agreement to lift the armed sit-in in the Al-Rayyan area in Al-Jawf Governorate, northeastern Yemen.

Local sources told NewsYemen that a mediation commissioned by the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Saghir bin Aziz, met with a number of tribal leaders in the "Al-Rayyan" area between the governorates of Al-Jawf and Ma'rib.

The mediation includes Sheikh Mansour Al-Hanaq, Sheikh Diab Maili and Sheikh Saleh Al-Santil.

She confirmed that it was agreed to lift the sit-in camp, in return for the implementation of the demands, including the return of the leader of the Brotherhood's Reform Party, Amin Al-Akimi, within 20 days.

Tribal sources reported that the officials at the tribes' quarries in Al-Jawf had decided to lift the sit-in, after it was penetrated by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.
