The Brotherhood in Taiz are making fake success to face the demands of change

Taiz, NewsYemen, special:

Taiz security announces security achievements, and the Minister of Interior pre-empts the announcement by praising the performance of the administration of Amin Al-Akhali, followed by a security campaign that kills Suhaib Al-Mikhlafi, brother of Ghazwan Al-Mikhlafi, one of the leaders of armed groups in Taiz and the most present in cases and crimes of lawlessness.

These moves to show the security of Taiz in a way different from its real reality and its abject failure for years, and the Brotherhood activists’ marketing of the successes of Al-Akhali headquarters under the directives of Al-Islah and supporting his campaign against Ghazwan and his gang, are not spontaneous or supportive of a measure awaiting all the residents of Taiz, but rather a scene from a new play to create an imaginary success for the Brotherhood’s security leaders.

This intensification of media praise and parade by the security forces together created an image of the Taiz security director as if he had reached the position a few days ago, while he has been there for years and lives in peace and dignity all the images of security chaos and horrific crimes that occur in the liberated area of the city of Taiz despite its smallness.

The review of achievement and success at the present time comes to cover years of failure and involvement in chaos, and this vigil is only an attempt to escape the pressures from political forces, activists and the street faced by the President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi to end the mess of the Brotherhood in Taiz Governorate.

Getting rid of a wanted security man like Suhaib Al-Mikhlafi may be an achievement for the people, since his crimes reached everyone, but he was never out of reach of Al-Akhali’s forces, and he was not a fugitive. Rather, he moved in all the squares of the city freely and without any security harassment.

On the other hand, Al-Akhali was not able to bring his forces to squares that were and are still governed by large Brotherhood leaders affiliated with the tribal wing of the reform represented by Hammoud Al-Mikhlafi, Sadiq Sarhan and those with them from the field leaders who have been in military positions for years.

Moreover, the arrival of the security escalation of the Brotherhood against groups affiliated with Brotherhood leaders to the point of liquidating one of the symbols of lawlessness and chaos would not have taken place unless there was a consensus between the tribal and security leaders and with them the headquarters and the leaders of the military wing so that Suhaib Al-Mikhlafi would be a scapegoat to improve the image of Al-Akhali and his administration mired in corruption, chaos and failure  Apocalypse.

The Brotherhood needs to keep their leaders who are in security and military positions in the governorate unchanged, so these leaders will be polished and an aura of success created around them to give them an extra life in their positions, especially since the Minister of Interior and the President of the Presidential Leadership Council support the Brotherhood’s direction to keep Taiz out of any correction process for its deteriorating situation for years.

And if necessary, we may find Ghazwan Al-Mikhlafi to meet the fate of his older brother Suhaib, because every price the Brotherhood deems appropriate to maintain their influence in Taiz, they will not hesitate to offer it, and may go beyond the matter to arrest other field leaders who had a share in creating chaos in Taiz Governorate.

In addition to offering sacrifices to maintain the presence of Brotherhood leaders in their positions, the Taiz Brotherhood will work during the next stage to strengthen the influence of the ideological military wing at the expense of the field leaders who were made by the war and pushed them to the forefront of the scene as leaders competing for influence, interests and spoils plundered from the rights and property of the state and the people in Taiz.

Will the field leaders targeted by the Brotherhood’s military wing allow it to limit its influence and arrest wanted men affiliated with these leaders, or will the coming hours and days witness a confrontation between the two wings? The third option is for the Al-Akhali campaign to suffice with Suhaib’s head, return the security campaign to its positions, and announce mediation and reconciliation between the security and gangs, and the curtain falls on the scene.
