Hodeidah, NewsYemen:

The Iranian arm launched a campaign of mass arrests against the residents of the villages of Al-Sahel Al-Tohamy in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, as part of campaigns to loot agricultural land.

A video circulating showed about 45 detainees in the Al-Hussainiya prison affiliated with the Houthi militia in the Bait Al-Faqih district, southeast of Hodeidah. They were arrested after they refused the militia's campaigns to confiscate their lands.

According to the person speaking in the video, the detainees have been in prison for 15 days, which indicates that the Houthi campaign began weeks ago.

Local sources confirmed to NewsYemen that the Houthi campaign to loot the lands and farms of the Tuhami countryside had already started weeks ago in several districts east and south of Hodeidah, but it collided last Monday with fierce resistance by the Zaranik tribes in the Al-Qusra region.

The sources said that the Houthi military campaign is seeking to confiscate fertile and vast agricultural lands to rent to investors loyal to the Houthis, claiming that they belong to the endowments.
