A member of the Presidential Leadership Council and President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, met on Tuesday, the commander of the Al-Ghaydah axis in Al-Mahra Governorate, in the second meeting in days with military leaders from the governorate.

In the meeting, which took place in his office in the capital, Aden, with the commander of the axis, Brigadier Faisal Muhammad Ahmed Al-Matari, Al-Zubaidi discussed the latest developments in the city of Al-Ghaidha and Al-Mahra governorate in general, and the level of readiness of the brigades and military units affiliated with the axis.

According to what was published by the official website of the Transitional Council, Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and raising the level of operational coordination between all military and security units in Al-Mahra Governorate, to control acts that violate law and order, and to secure land and sea ports.

This meeting comes about 10 days after Al-Zubaidi met in his office in the capital, Aden, with the Commander of the Military Police in Al-Mahra Governorate, Colonel Mohsen Ali Nasser Marsa’ Al-Kazmi.

The Military Police, which is supported by the Arab coalition forces, is one of the most important military formations in Al-Mahra, especially its capital, Al-Ghaydah, along with the Axis forces.

Observers believe that these meetings conducted by the President of the Southern Transitional Council are aimed at arranging the governorate’s military and security conditions and confronting any attempts to create chaos in it by the tools of the Brotherhood and the Omani regime, especially the so-called Mahra sit-in committee.

Noting that Al-Zubaidi's meeting with the commander of the Military Police in Al-Mahra, which is the striking force in the governorate, and with the leader of the Al-Ghaydah axis, may indicate the transitional resolution of matters in the governorate.

Which explains - according to observers - the threat made by Sheikh Ali Salem Al-Huraizi, loyal to Al-Houthi, and the head of the so-called Al-Mahra sit-in committee, to detonate the situation in the governorate, days after his return to the governorate, coming from Oman.

Al-Huraizi said, in his speech, that he has a ready force of up to thirty thousand fighters, sufficient to confront the Presidential Command Council, the Coalition and the Transitional Council, and to prevent the implementation of the military and security part of the Riyadh Agreement in Al-Mahra.

Al-Huraizi’s threat confirms the success of the moves led by the Transitional Council to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, backed by the coalition, which aims to eliminate smuggling networks operating in Mahra to deliver weapons coming from Iran through Oman to the Houthi militia.
