Abyan, NewsYemen, private:

The southern forces expanded their military campaign against terrorist groups in the governorates of Shabwa and Abyan (southern Yemen), with the support of the Arab coalition and the Presidential Command Council.

Seham Al-Sharq "Arrows of the East" launched by the southern forces came as a necessary operation to strike the terrorist elements in the southern governorates of Yemen and put an end to the terror directed against them."

Observers believe that the battle against terrorist groups in the south is no less important than the war against the Houthi militia, an arm of Iran.

Field data in the governorates of Shabwa and Abyan indicate that the military operation is close to achieving a complete victory over terrorist groups, especially with the achievements made by the southern forces, and their arrival at Al-Qaeda dens in the Modiyah district, east of Abyan.

The military expert, Brigadier General Thabet Hussein Saleh, said in a statement to NewsYemen that Operation Arrows of the East to secure the southern governorates is progressing well and achieving most of its objectives, in Abyan or Shabwa governorates.

Saleh stressed that achieving the full objectives of the military campaign requires destroying terrorist groups and their capabilities, mitigating sources and sources of support, cutting their arteries, whether inside or outside the governorates of the south, and pursuing them to ensure that these groups do not return to terrorist acts against the southern forces and threaten the security and stability of the southern governorates.

The military expert explained that securing the sites and camps comprehensively and carrying out systematic and continuous political and intelligence work will lead to the eradication of groups and their extremist ideas and the culture of violence and hatred.

For his part, the military analyst, Colonel Saleh Al-Dairi, stressed that the southern cohesion in the battle against al-Qaeda elements confirms that the south is an environment that expels extremism and terrorism.

Al-Da'ari said, in his Facebook post, that the majority of society in the south is unanimous in the danger of terrorism, and is ready to participate in purifying the country from its evil, and this is an affirmation that the south is an environment that expels extremism and terrorism.

Al-Da'ari sees this consensus as a good indicator for the south and that it is moving towards stability in the near future, free of bombings, interruptions and assassinations.

In turn, the southern politician Hani al-Beidh saw that the battle of the southern forces with terrorist organizations backed by some local and regional parties is a battle of existence.

Al-Beidh said, in a tweet on his Twitter account, that the battle of the people of the south with terrorism is a battle of survival or annihilation, and between good and evil, stressing that the southerners must determine their future through their victory in it and purifying their land from the remnants of terrorism.
