Southern forces enter the stronghold of al-Qaeda in the central Abyan regions

The southern forces continued to advance towards the central areas and the coastal line to cleanse and secure them of terrorist elements.

On Sunday morning, the forces advanced in the coastal line and reached Wadi Sirra, which is adjacent to the Mojan Mountains, in Khobar Al-Maraqsha, which is one of the most important dens of Al-Qaeda in Ahwar.

Military sources said that al-Qaeda members detonated explosive devices on the way to impede the advance of the forces, but they managed to deal with them and continued their advance towards the mountains and valleys of Mogan.

It explained that the drones of the southern forces monitored the movements, crowds and arrangements of al-Qaeda elements in the Mojan Mountains, noting that the forces are determined to eliminate them and cleanse them of remnants of extremism.

In addition, in conjunction with the advance of the campaign towards the coastal road, a campaign was launched towards the central regions to secure and purify them.

The forces of the 8th Brigade Saiqa and the Central Region Belt had stopped in Naqil Al-Arqoub, and this morning, these forces advanced towards Lawdar, Mudiyah and Al-Wadaa to begin deploying and securing them.
