Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Where is the international condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted the Security Belt forces in Abyan, and why do international counter-terrorism circles ignore operations against southern forces or terrorist operations in the south in general.

Over the past several years, American intelligence has classified al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula as one of the most serious threats to American national security, and all the assessments of the American side and its dealings with the cells of the organization and its danger move based on its activities and operations to confront it.

During the past years, international security reports gave the Shabwa Elite Forces a positive assessment of their active role in confronting al-Qaeda and ISIS cells in Shabwa governorate and its borders with Abyan governorate.  However, when the legitimacy of the Muslim Brotherhood was dismantled, the elite forces launched a fierce war against them.  Absent international positions that praised the role and presence of the elite.

Today, the Shabwa Defense Forces, the Security Belt Forces, and all the southern forces affiliated with the Transitional Council, along with the Hadrami elite, are back to carry out the task of confronting terrorism in the regions of Shabwa, Abyan, Hadramawt and even Aden and Lahj on behalf of the international community, which talks a lot about its efforts in confronting al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

With what the southern forces are doing on behalf of all those who are worried about terrorism, the expansion of its cells and its danger to international interests, the international community is silent about supporting these forces, even with statements of condemnation and moral support, a position that is both strange and confusing.

Al-Qaeda cells return to moving in areas with the support of the Houthis and the Brotherhood, and the identification of parties in legitimacy with the crimes of terrorism and its use as a card against the southern forces and the Transitional Council and against the south as a people in general, while the southern forces pay a heavy price on behalf of the world and in defense of its security and interests in the region.

The terrorist operations targeting the southern forces today, yesterday, reached the point of targeting the most important US Navy battleships, the SS Cole, as the organization planned from inside Abyan to carry out operations inside Washington, not the printer bomb operation sent to Jewish facilities in America and the Nigerian operation Farouk Abdel Nabi and other operations outside  The border is far from memory.

Terrorism fueled by the projects of the Brotherhood and the Houthis and their regional ties and targeting the southern forces in Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramawt, Aden, Al-Dhalea, and Lahj will not stop at the geography of the south if the southern forces do not stand against it and work to demolish its strongholds.  He is silent today about what is happening in southern Yemen.

The counter-terrorism efforts that were formed after the events of September 11, as well as the American moves against Al-Qaeda and ISIS in Yemen must open coordination and cooperation and provide direct and logistical support to the southern forces, which have the right to move and confront on the ground and need a lot of intelligence and qualitative support.

The silence shown by Washington and the international community when the Shabwani Elite Forces were targeted and dismantled by the Muslim Brotherhood and the legitimacy that hijacked its decision for many years must now change to a position more sensitive to the importance of the major role played by the southern forces against the most dangerous branches of Al-Qaeda and the most threatening to the interests of the world.
