Aden, NewsYemen:

Al-Qaeda in Yemen called for the support of the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, against the Arab coalition and the Presidential Leadership Council, against the background of the expulsion of Brotherhood militias from Shabwa governorate, in the southeast of the country.

This came in a new release, broadcast by the Al Malahim Foundation, the media arm of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, under the title "To our people in Yemen... a speech regarding the recent events in Shabwa."

The release included a speech by one of the leaders of the organization, which the Al-Malahim Foundation called "Commander Abu Ali Al-Hadrami", in which he said that "the control of the Transitional Council forces over Shabwa is a prelude to their control of other cities and their annexation to the authority of the Presidential Council supported by the coalition."

Al-Malahim did not reveal the identity of "Abu Ali Al-Hadrami", but it appears from the method used to identify him in the publication that he is one of the military leaders of Al-Qaeda in Yemen.

The leader's speech included an attack on the Arab coalition, especially the UAE, due to its involvement in the fight against terrorism and its war on al-Qaeda, and its support for the security belt forces and military elites that play a prominent role in fighting the organization and the Houthi group.

Abu Ali Al-Hadrami considered that the dismissal of the former governor of Shabwa, Muhammad Saleh bin Adio, who is affiliated with the Islah party, and the appointment of the governor, Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki in his place, is part of a broader scheme aimed at empowering the Arab coalition and the forces supported by it within the Yemeni regions.

The al-Qaeda leader indicated that the scheme aims to bring down the rest of the areas controlled by the Islah party in the south of the country (such as Hadhramaut, Mahra, and Abyan) in the hands of the forces backed by the Arab coalition, and to reduce the party’s influence inside Yemen, considering that the Arab coalition wants to cut the wings of the Brotherhood, according to him.

Abu Ali al-Hadrami called on the Islah party to ally with al-Qaeda in Yemen, and to abandon its approach and its participation in the framework of Yemeni legitimate institutions, saying that the party’s current policy would not be in its interest, but rather in its interest in allying with al-Qaeda and leaving the legitimate Yemeni government and institutions to expose their weakness.

On the same level, the al-Qaeda leader urged the youth of the Islah party to overthrow its current leadership and engage in support of al-Qaeda, and change the party’s approach to dealing with events by rejecting the political process and adhering to the Brotherhood’s slogan, which they raise: “Islam is the solution,” before it is too late, according to his expression.

Abu Ali al-Hadrami called on those he described as Salafist groups fighting against Iran’s arm with the support of the coalition to overthrow the Arab coalition and support al-Qaeda.

He also called on the sheikhs and dignitaries of Yemeni tribes, especially in the south of the country, to shelter al-Qaeda elements and ally with the organization.

Al-Qaeda considered that the solution in Shabwa will not be with the resignation of the governor supported by the Presidential Council and the Arab coalition, Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, but by implementing a new coup and launching terrorist attacks against the governor and the forces of the Transitional Council and trying to control Shabwa Governorate by force."
