The inauguration of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance, headed by Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, moved its headquarters in Taiz; He stirred the waters of the stagnant political debate inside the city of Taiz, which continued to witness a lonely place, controlling the city's reality and imposing its choices and orientations on the city.
Taiz witnesses from time to time armed conflicts between personalities and individuals belonging to the military forces of influential parties, which created an atmosphere of tension and societal anxiety during the years of war.
Jamil Ahmed Al-Hakimi rejects the way some consider Taiz a city subject to one party over the other, criticizing the fears of some of the opening of a headquarters for the political office of the resistance, expecting the effect of this and creating a new balance for the reality of the city, and its exit from under the abaya of chaos.
Jamil criticizes the transformation of Taiz by some forces into a space for violent mobilization, which created a regional discourse that excludes even the forces that confronted the Houthis and that were eliminated under different justifications and policies.
Jamil al-Hakimi said: "The Political Bureau of the Resistance is not a hostile party against Taiz, it has options and an agenda against the Houthi group, and therefore some parties that have deepened the isolation of Taiz should not be subjected to any endeavors, in inciting against the Political Bureau in an attempt to thwart and isolate it."
He added that Taiz will not enter into an area of conflict with the national forces, as it lost its circumstances and status when it was confined to an extremist ideological agenda, and suffered from a state of chaos and looting that increased with the exit of Abu al-Abbas and the assassination of Adnan al-Hammadi.
The beginning of the return of Taiz
For his part, the media personality, Salah Al-Shjari, believes that the opening of the Political Bureau of the Resistance is a necessity that has been delayed somewhat, and it should have happened in previous years.
Salah believes that, over the past years, the city of Taiz has not witnessed any stability, after the increase in the security and political vacuum and the weakness of some political forces in the face of transforming the city within the framework of the deep political agenda, and under the influence of the regional supporter of these policies.
He said: "The Political Bureau of the Resistance will play a greater role in creating new political alliances after the formation of the Presidential Council, and the presence of the Political Bureau is the beginning of strengthening the internal front and creating a kind of adherence to the city of Taiz, which was damaged after the bloody conflicts that made the city the preserve of some forces."
He added that the attempt by some to demonize the political office of the resistance is in the end a consecration of racist policies and a narrow agenda that led to the disintegration of the Taiz community and obstructed all efforts to defeat the Houthi project, which led to its survival to stifle the city and humiliate its residents.
