Shabwa, NewsYemen, private:

Remarkably, the atmosphere of security tension has escalated in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, as a result of the incidents of attacks against the Shabwa Defense Forces, the "formerly Elite", by the Special Forces led by Brotherhood Brigadier General Abd Rabbo La'kab al-Sharif.

Where the convoy of Akab attacked a security point belonging to the Shabwa Defense in the city of Ataq, on Tuesday morning, while it was carrying out a security campaign to prevent the carrying of weapons in the city.  As a result, two soldiers from the Shabwa Defense Forces were wounded in the attack, and one of the La’akab guards was killed.

And on Friday, two soldiers from the Shabwa Defense Forces were injured as a result of an attack on a group belonging to the forces at the hands of the Special Forces’ electricity point in Ataq city. Days before that, members of the point had intercepted a group led by one of the leaders of the 12th Brigade giants and prevented them from passing through.

Incidents of assault by the Special Forces, activists from the province described the rebellion against the decisions of the security committee headed by the governor, Awad al-Wazir, which assigned the Shabwa Defense Forces to implement a security campaign to prevent armed manifestations in the city.

Referring to the previous rebellion led by Laakab against the decisions issued by the governorate's security director, Brigadier General Awad al-Dahboul, early last month, regarding the assignment of staff and chief of operations of the Special Security Forces and commander of the anti-terror unit in Shabwa governorate.

La'akab prevented those assigned by the director of security from receiving their duties and entering the headquarters of Ataq's Special Forces, which was later confirmed by the director of security in a letter he sent to the governorate in the middle of last month.

This rebellion led by Lakab in Shabwa is seen by observers as a political paper by which the Brotherhood is pushing to try to prove the survival of its influence and influence inside Shabwa in particular and on the southern map in general.

This influence was dealt a severe blow after the overthrow of the former governor of Shabwa, the Brotherhood / Muhammad bin Adyo, late last year, and the return of the Shabwa Elite Forces under the name "Shabwa Defense", with the Southern Giants forces taking over the task of liberating the Bihan districts from the hands of the Houthi militia after its suspicious fall last September.

The fall of Brotherhood influence in Shabwa was followed by the most important fall scene with the formation of the Presidential Council early last April, which turned the page of former President Hadi and his deputy Ali Mohsen, which represented the fall of the Brotherhood’s power over political decision within legitimacy for 7 years.

Remarkably, the indications of the Brotherhood’s gradual decline in the southern scene continue, and what Abyan witnessed last month is the most prominent example of this, with the meeting of the leaders of the forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council and the leaders of the legitimate forces to discuss arranging a military campaign to confront terrorist organizations in the governorate, after two years of fighting and conflict between  Both parties are fueled and instigated by the Brotherhood.

The recent security developments in Wadi Hadramawt are also seen as one of the indicators of the decline in Brotherhood influence in them, especially after the success of a member of the Presidency Council and Governor of Hadhramaut, Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, last May in imposing a security director for Wadi Hadramout and overthrowing the former director loyal to the leadership of the first military region and loyal to the Brotherhood group.

After that, the valley and desert regions witnessed security achievements for the first time, represented in the arrest of al-Qaeda members and leaders, the last of which was last Sunday, the arrest of leaders of the organization in the Cotton Directorate by a force of the Hadrami elite, accompanied by Arab coalition vehicles.
