Brotherhood forces in Taiz arrest a number of striking truck drivers

 Press sources revealed that security forces affiliated with the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, arrested on Monday striking truck drivers in the Tur Al Baha area.

The sources indicated that the director of the Al-Shamayatayn Directorate and the leader of the Islah Party, Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani, headed the security forces that broke up the truck drivers’ sit-in and imprisoned them, including the father of the child Akram, who was killed in Tur Al Baha.

It is worth noting that truck drivers in Taiz governorate carried out, on Saturday, a strike to protest the intermittent operations they are exposed to by gunmen on the main road in Lahj governorate, where a child was killed in front of his father.
