Shabwa, NewsYemen, private:

Unidentified persons blew up a gas pipeline, on Sunday, in Gul Al-Shakh in Radhum district in Shabwa governorate, causing severe damage to the pipeline and setting it on fire.

These actions are usually behind political reasons, as is the norm, especially at the present time, and after changes that affected the presidency and witnessed a reduction in the Brotherhood's control over the institution and before that over the Shabwa governorate itself.

Observers have confirmed that these actions are supported by forces that have suffered losses in the past days and are seeking to obstruct the work of the revenue institutions so that they do not go to the state after it was going for their benefit.

Terrorist elements usually move as the Brotherhood wants, which is what happens in Hadramawt Valley, Abyan and some areas of Shabwa.

Shabwa Governor Awad Al-Wazir accused the terrorist groups of being behind the operation, vowing not to tolerate the perpetrators of sabotage operations, stressing the beating with an iron fist for anyone who tries to intimidate the safe or harm the sovereign national gains.

The process of targeting the pipeline comes after the government's assurances that there are discussions between the relevant authorities about resuming exports from the country's essential gas facilities.

Journalist Hussein Hanshi said that when the Brotherhood was in control of the presidency, they repeated their demands to export gas through Balhaf to pay salaries and stabilize the economy.

In his publication, Hanshi indicated that the Brotherhood resorted to these actions to thwart re-export efforts and to stabilize the economy.

In turn, academic Dr. Hussein Al-Diyani confirmed that this terrorist act was caused by a party that lost its interests in Shabwa.

In reference to the Brotherhood, whose former governor was changed by the Brotherhood, Muhammad bin Udayo.

Al-Diyani said, in a tweet, that such sabotage acts are expected to restrict the local authority and the Presidential Council.

Al-Diyani indicated that the perpetrators are those who have lost their interests in Shabwa or who will be deprived of the proceeds under the slogan of cutting the habit of enmity.  They will certainly turn to those who have trained them to carry out this act of sabotage.
