Aden, NewsYemen, special:

The continued control of the Islah Party, the local branch of the terrorist Brotherhood, represents one of the biggest challenges facing the Presidential Leadership Council, which was formed on the seventh of this April, headed by Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and the membership of seven others.

All government efforts during the past seven years failed to appoint a governor to control the city of Taiz and end the Brotherhood’s military control over it, especially after they abused the comrades-in-arms of the Salafi popular resistance and got rid of military leaders who were not loyal to them and rejected the brotherhood of the army and security.

The city of Taiz is living under a suffocating siege imposed on it by the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, in conjunction with the military inaction of the Taiz Brotherhood axis, which has so far refused to move or allow any move to end this siege.

The city of Taiz has been punished since 2016. Three governors were the first, the first of whom was Ali Muhammad Al-Maamari, whose appointment was issued on January 17, 2016 before Amin Mahmoud was appointed in his place at the end of 2017, which made the people of Taiz rejoice, but this joy did not last.  After the Brotherhood militia harassed the governor and forced him to leave Taiz after the siege of his headquarters and an attempt to assassinate him, in late 2018, Nabil Abdo Shamsan al-Qudsi was appointed to replace him.

But Nabil Shamsan was also unable to enter the province or run its affairs before submitting to the conditions and dictates of the Taiz axis, which turned Taiz into a military barracks and a center for collecting money and taxes, similar to what the Houthi militia is doing in its areas.

On the military side, the Taiz axis has thwarted over the course of seven years any attempts to break the siege on the governorate, including the attempts of the martyr Adnan Al-Hammadi, commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, to advance from the north of the city after taking control of Al-Silw, where the Brotherhood militia launched an operation that confused the scheme that the martyr was implementing with the support and backing  of the southern forces.

The axis also halted a military operation of the joint forces on the western coast aimed at breaking the siege on the city by liberating the city of Al-Barah to the west in a military operation, experts confirmed that its success meant ending the militias’ control of Taiz governorate and the beginning of the liberation of Ibb governorate.

Local journalists and politicians unanimously agree that Taiz must be liberated first from the control of the Islah party, represented by the axis that eliminated all national military and civilian leaders, including the assassination of Brigadier General Adnan al-Hammadi.

Human rights activist Makram Al-Azab says that to solve the problems of Taiz governorate, it needs the Presidential Council to appoint a military governor and at the same time be the leader of the Taiz axis, with nationalist orientations loyal to the state and non-military influential now in Taiz loyal to the Brotherhood.

Politicians have suggested a number of names that they consider most appropriate to assume the position of governor of Taiz, most notably the return of the former governor, Amin Mahmoud, or the appointment of the former governor, Hammoud al-Sufi, who took over the leadership of the Political Security Service during the era of former President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, in addition to the names of party leaders and administrative officials.

However, political activist Abdullah Farhan called on activists and politicians not to strive to nominate some names for the position of governor of Taiz, pointing out that Taiz will not occupy its problems by appointing so-and-so as its governor.

He said, "I swear, if you bring her a governor from Mars, her status will not change except with decisions to change the leadership of the axis and security, and decisions to correct imbalances in the army and security institution, and strict control measures to control the absurd chaos that occurred among groups, individuals, and military and security leaders that were the obstacle to the presence of the institutional state for 6 years. It was  It is still deliberately tampering, assaulting public and private money, impeding institutional performance, rebelling against decisions, imposing revenue and confiscating revenues.”
