Tweeters said that the Houthi domination of Yemeni women's lives is an attempt to record illusory achievements to compensate for the failure in various aspects that affect people's lives, from the economy to services to the justice sector to the education and health sector, to combating the prevailing corruption and other areas of life.
The terrorist Houthi militia had issued a decision in conjunction with the resumption of commercial air traffic through Sanaa airport, as part of the Houthi-violated UN armistice agreement.
The sources said that the Houthi militias issued a circular in the form of a form for transport companies in which they prevented women from traveling without official permission from them and their guardians, according to the owners of land and air transport companies.
Political journalist Nabil Al-Soufi participated in a publication of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in which she said that a woman can obtain an Umrah permit without the need for a mahram or a women's gang. He wrote: Al-Houthi prevented her from traveling from Sana’a to Yarim, and Hussein Al-Ezzi often used to pray to hear Abd al-Malik’s tales.
He added, tragedies besiege the north and dry up what we have gained in half a century.
The head of the Defense Foundation for Rights and Freedoms, Huda Al-Sarari, said in a tweet, that this is a continuation of the approach of repression, restricting freedoms and imposing restrictions on women, in Houthi-controlled areas, considering that "such a measure is similar to what the terrorist organizations (ISIS and Al-Qaeda) are doing."
According to a local media circular, including "the Houthi group required the guardian's approval before the women travel, noting that the procedure is consistent with the behavior of the Afghan Taliban and extremist groups in the region."
Earlier, the Houthi group, which controls a number of Yemeni governorates, including the capital, Sanaa, demanded mass transportation companies to fill out a form for women travelers, stating that the guardian approved their travel.
