Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Since the announcement of Ali Mohsen's dismissal from his position, the Abini street has been afraid of the re-spread of terrorist groups that move as the man wants and tamper with the governorate whenever he needs it, as the citizens there say.

Abyan or the eastern parts of the governorate is one of the most prominent areas that al-Ahmar uses to strike his opponents or obtain gains by moving his terrorist groups into areas controlled by forces loyal to Hadi and the Brotherhood.

The fear of the return of terrorist activity seems to have actually begun on the ground. Extremist groups have re-emerged and spread in an attempt to thwart the state of reconciliation and harmony between all parties opposed to the Houthi group, which is what Al-Ahmar and the Brotherhood do not want.

According to citizens, al-Qaeda members were seen moving their crews and deploying their points in the Al-Mahfad district on Monday.

Local sources said that the organization has officially published a number of points for the first time in years, and al-Qaeda elements were seen in Mudiyah and al-Wadaa moving and it seems that they have upcoming missions in these areas.

Residents fear the terrorist groups’ control and the return of their criminal operations, in light of the suspicious silence of the forces loyal to the Brotherhood in Shakra and their refusal to move the southern forces to cleanse their areas of these terrorist elements.

The southern academic, Muhammad Nasser al-Awlaki, called on the Transitional Council to move quickly and secure Abyan before any move by al-Ahmar elements, he said.

In his publication, al-Awlaki believes that the governorate is on its way to falling into the hands of these groups, calling on the STC to move quickly and save it.

And this week, unidentified gunmen believed to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda hijacked a "Dina" truck belonging to the Giants Brigades in the Khedira area in the central region of Abyan.

Local sources stated that unknown elements set up a checkpoint in the Khedira area, an area about three kilometers away from the headquarters of the 3rd Brigade, Presidential Protection of the Brotherhood.

The truck was on its way to Shabwa governorate, where a number of giants brigades are located.

The forces in Shuqrah did not move to control the terrorist groups and stop the kidnappings. Rather, the citizens of Abyan accused them of facilitating these groups.

Activists in Abyan believe that the Presidential Command Council and the southern forces must act urgently and cut the way for the extremist groups that serve first and foremost the Houthi militia and spread in Abyan and secure it.

Activists called for the necessity of the deployment of the southern forces, which achieved great victories in the face of terrorist organizations and succeeded in securing the governorate for years, had they not returned after the Brotherhood forces entered the August 2019 events.

The dilemma in Abyan lies in the presence of pro-Brotherhood forces in Shuqrah. They did not secure the governorate, nor did they leave others to do the job.

There are large forces in Shuqra and its environs that have no task other than looting trucks, taking taxes and refusing entry of the Security Belt forces to the areas where al-Qaeda elements are tampering.

Observers believe that the Command Council should restructure these forces, take advantage of them, push them towards the fronts, and start securing Abyan through the southern forces after merging the security forces into them.
