Sana'a, NewsYemen:

The terrorist Houthi militia stormed, on Saturday evening, a mosque in Sanaa, which is under its control, during Tarawih prayers, on the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan, and shot the worshipers, killing and wounding at least 9.

Local sources said that the Houthi militia raided a mosque near the Queen Hospital in the Al-Wayat district in the airport area, and tried to prevent worshipers from performing Tarawih prayers and turning off the loudspeakers.

The sources added that all the worshipers refused the Houthis' dictates and threats, and verbal altercations erupted with the militia members, who opened fire at them, which led to the killing of two worshipers and the injury of seven others.

It indicated that the people took the injured to the hospital, while the Houthi militia left the mosque after committing the crime.

The residents denounced the Houthi militia's attempt to turn off the loudspeakers during Tarawih prayers, while requiring all imams of mosques to open the loudspeakers and broadcast the speeches of its terrorist leader, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, for several hours on a daily basis.

The crime sparked a state of indignation and anger among the population in light of the state of tension in Sanaa and the Houthi-controlled areas, due to the militia creating crises, raising fuel and gas prices in an unprecedented way, and looting the salaries of government employees for the seventh year in a row.
