Tariq Saleh: Our battle with Al-Houthi is a defense of the people, and we stand with every measure that alleviates their suffering

 The leader of the National Resistance, Head of the Political Bureau, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, welcomed the truce announced in Yemen, stressing his support for any measure that alleviates the suffering of the people and serves the interests of citizens.

Brigadier-General Tariq Saleh said on his Twitter account: "Every measure relieves people's suffering and serves the interests of citizens, we stand with him and support him."

He added, "Our battle with Al-Houthi is mainly to defend the people, their state, and their national service institutions, whether on the fronts or consultations in war or peace."

The leader of the National Resistance, head of the Political Bureau, stressed: "The most important are the people and their individual and collective interests."

And on Friday evening, the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced the response of the parties to the conflict in the country to a proposal for a two-month truce, to enter into force on Saturday.

The announced truce includes stopping all offensive military operations from the second of April to June 2, the entry of 18 ships of oil derivatives to the port of Hodeidah, the operation of two weekly commercial flights to Sana’a, and the operation of two weekly flights from Sana’a to Egypt and Jordan.
