Aden, NewsYemen:

The terrorist Houthi militia crossed all red lines in dealing with Yemeni women, as it committed the most heinous crimes against large numbers of girls, including kidnapping, disappearance, torture and rape in secret prisons.

Among these victims, a girl named "Sawsan", a resident of the Al-Hawban area, which is under the control of the Houthi militia, in the governorate of Taiz.

The tragedy of "Sawsan", as she told "Newsmen", began with a sexual assault, which she was subjected to by a leader of the Houthi militia in the Al-Hawban region, at the end of 2019, which resulted in her becoming pregnant with a child, but the crime did not end here.

Sawsan says that the Houthi supervisor (Abu Jihad) took advantage of her after the rape, in order to carry out espionage work in areas controlled by the legitimate government for the benefit of his group, when she was arrested and deposited in the central prison in the city of Taiz.

She added: "I gave birth to the child I was pregnant with from the rape of the Houthi supervisor inside the central reformatory in Taiz, after which my health and psychological condition doubled, and I could not take care of myself and my child."

The Houthi militia not only committed the crime of raping and blackmailing her to work for the group by sending her from Al-Hawban to the city of Taiz to carry out espionage work, but also inflicting permanent disability on her, when the militia targeted the women’s section in the central reformatory on April 5, 2020.

As a result of the bombing, Sawsan was injured by shrapnel from the shells that rained down on the women’s prison dormitory and caused her a permanent disability as a result of her injury to her hand. The bombing also left five people dead and injured 11 other women who were next to her.

The militia transformed Sawsan's life into chapters of pain that will grow with her and her child.  And her tragedy will not stop there, as she is living in a very difficult psychological state, in addition to the pain she suffers from the paralyzed hand due to the Houthi bombing and the stigmatization that she and her child will face in the future.
