The coalition announces the cessation of military operations in Yemen in response to the "Al-Hajraf" call

The spokesman for the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, announced on Wednesday night the cessation of military operations inside Yemen in order to make the Yemeni consultations in Riyadh a success, and to create a positive environment for peacemaking during the month of Ramadan.

Al-Maliki said that the cessation of military operations inside Yemen as of (0600) on Wednesday morning, March 30, 2022 AD, in response to the invitation submitted by the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Nayef Al-Hajraf, and in support of efforts and endeavors to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to end the crisis and achieve security and stability for Yemen.

He explained that the leadership of the joint forces of the coalition will abide by the ceasefire and will take all steps and measures to make the ceasefire a success, create appropriate conditions and create a positive environment during the holy month of Ramadan to make peace and end the crisis.

The coalition spokesman affirmed the stability of the position of the joint forces command of the coalition in support of the legitimate Yemeni government with its political stance and its military measures and procedures.  He also affirmed the support of the Joint Forces Command for the permanent alliance with the Yemeni people to achieve their aspirations and build their state in a way that achieves security and prosperity.
