Grundberg: We are communicating with all parties to implement a truce in Yemen during Ramadan

Yesterday (Sunday), the United Nations announced the continuation of efforts to implement a truce in Yemen, during the holy month of Ramadan.

This came in a tweet by the office of the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, which he posted on his Twitter account.

Grundberg's office said: "The UN Special Envoy for Yemen continues to communicate with all parties and to make efforts towards a truce during the month of Ramadan."

"Grundberg renews his call for a halt to the escalation, and welcomes all steps taken by the parties in this direction," he added, without further details.
