An American senator calls for the Houthi militia to be returned to the terrorist list
English - Monday 28 March 2022 الساعة 09:22 amUS Senator Lindsey Graham called for the need to return the Houthi group to the list of terrorism, in the wake of an unprecedented Houthi escalation targeting oil and vital facilities in Saudi Arabia.
During his participation in the Doha Forum 2022, the US senator stressed that Washington should have played a greater role in confronting the Houthis: "Our goal in America is to return the Houthis to the lists of terrorism."
The US Senate Senator, Lindsey Graham, had earlier attacked the Iranian regime's policies in Yemen, stressing that it was looking for chaos, and said in media statements, that Iran is the root of much evil in the Middle East, pointing to its threat to its neighbors through the conflict in Yemen.
In a related context, European parliamentarians called for the inclusion of the terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, in the lists of global terrorism as part of punishment for the crimes it commits in Yemen.
At a conference recently held by the European Parliament at its headquarters in Brussels, to discuss human rights violations in Yemen, they expressed their regret for the violations committed by the Houthi militia against Yemeni women in particular, and Yemenis in general.
On the evening of Saturday, March 26, 2022, the Saudi-led Arab coalition launched air strikes on military targets of the Houthi terrorist militia in Sanaa and Hodeidah. The coalition issued warnings to civilians that the Houthis were storing weapons in the Haddah residential area, south of Sanaa.
Earlier, the Arab coalition reported that the Kingdom was subjected to 16 hostile attacks, in one day, noting that it "exercises restraint to make the Yemeni consultations successful," and added in a statement, "We warn the Houthis against persisting in their grave violations and not to test our patience."
