The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced that the number of hostile attacks reached 16 on (Friday), warning the Houthi terrorist militia "not to persist in their grave violations and not to test our patience."
Yesterday, the Houthi attack on the sources of global energy supplies in Saudi Arabia was met with a series of wide regional and international condemnations, while the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen warned the Houthi group against persisting in its violations, stressing its adherence to the right to respond.
While Arab and foreign countries condemned the Houthi attacks and affirmed their solidarity and standing by Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, received a phone call yesterday from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in which he condemned the terrorist attacks on the Kingdom’s lands. He affirmed that Egypt stands by Saudi Arabia to confront the continuation of these hostilities.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the attack, writing on Twitter: "These strikes endanger civilian lives and must stop." "The attacks are unacceptable and also affect Saudi infrastructure, as well as schools, mosques and workplaces," said Galina Porter, deputy spokesperson for the US State Department.
Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the continuous hostilities perpetrated, yesterday, by the Houthi militia with missiles and marches, in a dangerous escalation, targeting civilian objects and vital economic facilities in the Kingdom.
Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, condemned, in the strongest terms, the Houthi militia's persistence in its criminal and hostile practices, at a time when unremitting efforts are being made to gather the Yemeni brothers for dialogue in order to advance the peace process and spare Yemeni blood.
The Secretary-General reiterated that the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which commends the restraint shown by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen in order to make the consultations between Yemenis successful, stands by Saudi Arabia and supports all measures it takes to protect its lands, citizens, residents and economic facilities.
The Gulf Cooperation Council also condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi militia's continued systematic and deliberate launching of booby-trapped marches towards the southern region, targeting safe civilians and civilian facilities.
Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Council, stressed that the continuation of attacks and targeting of civilian facilities and power stations constitutes a threat to security and stability, and harms the global economy and energy supplies, which requires the international community to take a firm stand against these attacks and the violations they represent in international law.
The Secretary-General praised the high efficiency and constant vigilance of the Saudi air defense forces, which were able to intercept and destroy 9 marches, stressing the solidarity of the GCC countries with the Kingdom against everything that targets its security, stability and territorial integrity.
