Media and activists expressed their hope for economic support and a deposit for the Central Bank from the Riyadh conference, which is expected to be held at the end of this March.
Citizens across the country live in tragic conditions with salaries and businesses suspended and the local currency collapsing, which has caused prices to rise, as many families are unable to provide for their needs. In many areas, they have reduced daily meals to two meals or one meal.
The collapsed situation of the citizen made many demands from the conference for economic support only, away from any other political solutions, especially since many expect failure for this conference.
Member of the General Assembly of the Transitional Council, Adel Al-Shabhi, appealed to the participants in the conference to take advantage of the opportunity and put the interests of the people first.
Al-Shbehi, in his tweet, called on everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to put people's interests first and work to provide realistic solutions that affect their needs and address all issues without conditions, indicating that victory is to achieve peace and reconciliation away from the self and the agenda.
Media Adnan Al-Ajam, editor-in-chief of Al-Amana newspaper, demanded the participants in the Riyadh conference not to return except as a deposit to the bank.
Al-Ajam said in a tweet to him, "We do not want from the Riyadh consultations anything but the deposit, and all politicians should not return if they do not receive the deposit.
Al-Ajam indicated that the people are tired of politics.
In turn, political activist Wadah bin Attia said that the situation is collapsing, and most of the people have entered a phase of starvation, and the first reason is the corruption of the forces controlling legitimacy.
And Ibn Attia added in a tweet to him, "I hope from the Riyadh consultations that they do not get involved in the political conflict and the conflict on the ground that is governed by the gun, and what we hope is to come up with a strict solution to fight corruption and hold the corrupt accountable, and neglecting that does not benefit any outcomes."
Poet Abdullah Al-Jaidi commented about the conference, “From failure to another , and the victim is the afflicted citizen who is looking for a piece of bread or a grain of rice in one of the trash cans.”
