On Monday, Saudi Arabia announced that Iran, through its arm in Yemen, was responsible for “any shortage of oil supplies to global markets.”
An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of the international community being aware of the danger of Iran continuing to supply the terrorist Houthi militias with ballistic missile technologies and advanced drones, with which they target oil and gas production sites and their derivatives in Saudi Arabia, due to the dire effects on the production sectors. This will lead to an impact on Saudi Arabia's production capacity and ability to meet its obligations, which undoubtedly threatens the security and stability of energy supplies to global markets.
The source indicated the importance of the international community assuming its responsibility in maintaining energy supplies, and standing firmly against the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia, and deterring them from their sabotage attacks that pose a direct threat to the security of petroleum supplies in these extremely sensitive circumstances in global energy markets.
On Saturday evening and Sunday dawn, the Houthis targeted a number of vital facilities and civilian areas with drones, ballistic missiles, and an (Iranian) cruise missile in 6 Saudi cities.
