With their departure approaching, which came on the impact of a great popular movement, the Brotherhood's authority in Shabwa Governorate resorted, before its dismissal, to transferring the kidnapped from its prisons to the city of Marib, which is under the control of the Brotherhood.
After the dismissal of the Brotherhood’s governor, Muhammad bin Adyo, the families of the abductees in the militia prisons were surprised by their absence in the governorate’s prisons, and after a major search for the families and the great support of the new governor, Awad Al-Awlaki, it became clear that there are large numbers of abductees who were kidnapped in Ataq and Shabwa districts in the prisons of the Special Forces Marib Governorate.
Governor Ibn al-Wazir, after his success in closing the prisons of Shabwa, made great efforts to search for the kidnapped and release many of them despite the intransigence and concealment of the Brotherhood's special forces in Marib.
After his success in releasing kidnappers in Marib prisons last month, he succeeded, on Saturday, in releasing the kidnapped Abed Rabbo Nasser Al-Omari and Abdul-Aziz Nasser Al-Omari from the prisons of Marib Governorate.
The two kidnappers, who are from Shabwa, had been kidnapped in Shabwa governorate by the Special Forces and taken to Shabwa governorate, and had it not been for the intervention of Ibn al-Wazir, they would have been in the prisons of the Brotherhood militias for years.
The transfer of the kidnapped to Marib, which is the capital of the Brotherhood organization, confirms that there is no rule or authority for the areas under their control and that everyone appeals to the leadership of the group in the holy center in Marib.
Activists from Marib confirmed that what the Shabwani street has been saying since the Brotherhood took control of Marib about the subordination of their governorate and its transformation into a district affiliated with Marib may have been true after these events.
The sons of Shabwa saluted the efforts of the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, in taking care of the kidnapped people and his extensive moves to get all the people of Shabwa who were subjected to injustice and kidnapping in the prisons of the Brotherhood militias in their outgoing era.
The southern politician, Ali Al-Aslami, praised the efforts of Governor Al-Awlaki to release the abductees in Marib prisons.
Al-Aslami said in a tweet to him: "Most of the time of the governor of Shabwa, Ibn al-Wazir, since his appointment, has been spent searching for the missing sons of the province in the secret prisons of the Muslim Brotherhood. Not a week passes without removing young people from unknown places inside the governorate that the Brotherhood turned into detention centers."
He pointed out, "As for the official letters sent by the minister's son to the Ma'rib authority, they have become almost daily."
Regarding what the governor is doing regarding prisoners and abductees, activist Amer Thabet said: “He returned those who were in Ma’rib prisons who were unjustly and falsely imprisoned, and before that he closed Shabwa prisons, and only the official and legal central prison was allowed, and whoever has no clear criminal charge from the sons of Shabwa, the Sultan will untie him. I swear if the minister’s people had nothing but this good deed, it would be enough for him.”
