However, the city witnessed the first assassination attempt since its liberation from the Brotherhood and the Houthis, and in addition to detonating a sound bomb near the assembly square, it was announced that the commander of the Eighth Brigade had been rescued by giants Brigadier General Muhammad Ali al-Salihi of an assassination attempt in Ataq.
In its final statement, the event called for enabling the “Shabwani Elite Forces to complete their deployment in the governorate,” calling on “Saudi Arabia, the sponsor of the Riyadh Agreement, to put pressure on those who obstruct their deployment.”
The event announced its rejection of what is said to be “the establishment of any Yemeni parties or entities.” Ali al-Jabwani, head of the Transitional Council branch in the governorate, said in his speech that the governorate “will not go back to the past,” calling on the people of the north to “direct their projects to the northern governorates where the Houthis dominate. and the Islah Party.
He affirmed the council's support for "the new governor of Shabwa, Awad al-Awlaki" for development and erasing the traces of the past.
