Yemeni journalist Mahmoud Al-Atmi called, on Wednesday, for the United Nations and human rights organizations in the world to investigate the crime of targeting his wife, journalist Rasha Al-Harazi, and her fetus.
In an intervention during the 49th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Al-Atmi stressed the need to hold the Houthi militia accountable for the terrorism it practices against the press and journalists in Yemen, as well as to pressure them to stop the death sentence issued against four of the journalists kidnapped in its prisons.
He stressed the importance of pressure by the United Nations and international human rights organizations on the terrorist Houthi militia to release hundreds of kidnapped people from Tihama in its prisons, including journalists Muhammad al-Salahi and Muhammad Awad.
In his intervention, journalist Al-Atmi briefly recounted the story of the Houthis chasing him, until targeting him and his wife in the heinous terrorist incident that killed his journalist wife, Rasha Al-Harazi, and her fetus.
