Demands to dismiss al-Ahmar revive al-Qaeda activity in Abyan and Hadramawt
English - Thursday 17 March 2022 الساعة 04:03 pmAl-Qaeda has recently re-activated in the regions of Abyan and Wadi Hadramout, which are under the control of forces loyal to Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
As usual, the movements of the terrorist organization always have political reasons as those who want to motivate them, and this time comes in light of political and popular demands for the dismissal of Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, who is in control of the military file and one of the main causes of military failure and prolongation of the war and he was described by the French newspaper “Le Monde” (father of al-Qaeda).
Claims have increased in the past months, from all parties, even from military leaders on the fronts, to change the red that caused the fall of the fronts and hand over areas and weapons to the Houthi militias and the man who was known to fight every military commander seeking to defeat Iran’s militias.
According to politicians, al-Ahmar is the first mover of terrorist organizations and he always uses them to strike his opponents, moves them whenever he wants, and stops them when he achieves what he wants.
Al-Qaeda began its operations by kidnapping the employees of a UN organization in Abyan governorate, not far from the site of a force loyal to al-Ahmar that did nothing to prevent the kidnapping.
The organization transferred the kidnapped to Wadi Omaran in the district of Mudiyah in front of the Al-Ahmar forces, who did not move to liberate them or negotiate about them and more than a month has passed since the kidnapping without any movement by these forces, and the fate of United Nations employees is still at the mercy of terrorist elements.
Terrorist movements returned semi-officially and in front of everyone's eyes in the areas controlled by the Al-Ahmar forces, and following the popular demands and the demonstrations that were held in the Hadramawt Valley areas to demand the exit of the forces of the First Region loyal to Al-Ahmar from the valley, analysts expected the resumption of terrorist organizations' activity in response to the popular demands.
Al-Ahmar actually directed the terrorist elements to move to save his forces from leaving after the increase in the popular movement demanding their exit. Al-Qaeda members kidnapped foreign workers from Doctors Without Borders in the Al-Khashaa area in the Hadhramaut Valley.
Al-Ahmar is trying to show the south as the incubator of terrorist organizations, as well as trying to polish its forces, that the alternative is terrorist organizations.
The process of targeting the commander of the security belt forces in the Abyan Delta, Abdul Latif al-Sayed, does not seem far from what happened in Mudiyah and Wadi Hadramawt. Al-Ahmar is seeking to divert attention from him and his forces in the valley, and there is no one to do this task except al-Qaeda elements.
Political activist Wajdi al-Saadi said that al-Ahmar was behind all these operations in Wadi Hadramawt and Abyan.
Al-Saadi indicated in his tweet that Al-Ahmar threatened to use the terrorist card and destabilize security and stability in the southern regions if he was dismissed.
