Al-Houthi continues to abuse the people of Hodeidah

 Since the signing of the Stockholm Agreement in late 2018, the terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, has committed a series of crimes against civilians in the city of Hodeidah, after it repudiated the agreement and disrupted the implementation of its provisions, and redeployed its militants.

The Houthi militia practices all forms of oppression and abuse against civilians in the poorest coastal city, who live in poor living and economic conditions, after the militia mastered the looting of resources and humanitarian aid, suspended salaries, imposed levies and royalties under various names, confiscated lands, farms and property of citizens, and forced the children of  Poor families are in recruitment camps and sent to the frontline incinerators, intensified their sectarian activities in schools, dismissed employees from their jobs and appointed their members to leadership positions in all state facilities and institutions in the governorate.

Outlet for trafficking and terrorism

The terrorist militia harnesses the revenues of the port of Hodeidah estimated at 14 billion riyals in addition to the revenues of the executive offices in the governorate for the benefit of its leaders and support its wars against the Yemenis.

The Houthi militia loyal to Tehran uses the port of Hodeidah, in addition to the ports of Saleef and Al-Lahya, to finance, arm, and introduce missiles, drones, and Iranian weapons into Yemen to threaten the security of the countries of the region, and to threaten international navigation in the Red Sea.

 Confiscation of citizens' property

The coup militia continues to loot and systematic robbery of citizens' property, and has seized the homes of many personalities in the city of Hodeidah, including teachers, displaced academics, in addition to anti-militia social figures.

During the past few days, the terrorist militia carried out a wide campaign to confiscate citizens' properties in Hodeidah, as it simplified and controlled the homes, farms, shops and factories of citizens fleeing from their oppression to the liberated areas.

Local sources said that the militia confiscated the properties of dozens of displaced citizens, fleeing from its brutality and opponents, including many officials, academics and teachers in the governorate, noting that among the houses confiscated by the militia were the house of Anwar Burji, director of the Hodeidah governor's office, and the house of Muhammad al-Dahni, Undersecretary of the Customs Authority and his brothers.  .

The militia had issued what it called a "general amnesty" in preparation for the process of confiscating the property of citizens opposed to it, and formed committees of its followers to communicate with them and force their families and wives to sign what it called the innocence of their brothers and husbands fleeing to the liberated areas.

Since its takeover of the province in 2015, the leaders of the coup militia have seized and simplified vast lands belonging to the people of Hodeidah Governorate, under the justification that this space is a "divine right," as one of the militia leaders said, who recently robbed a floor in Kilo 16 area in Hodeidah confirming its official documents issued from  The state is owned by the people of the village of Al-Sharaqia, east of Al-Hodeidah.

According to local sources, the Houthi leader Ibrahim al-Sharafi, coming from Hajjah governorate, looted the land by force of arms, claiming that the land was a divine right that was spent on him, and his companions fired live bullets at the villagers while they objected to the construction of the developments on the floor overlooking the main line Hodeidah - Sanaa  It is worth millions of riyals.
