The commander of the Abyan Delta Belt survived a suicide bombing

The commander of the security belt forces in the Abyan Delta, Brigadier General Abdul Latif al-Sayed, survived an assassination attempt following a suicide bombing that targeted his convoy on Tuesday morning.

Security sources in Abyan governorate said that a suicide bomber blew up his car while the convoy of Sayyid was passing in a vertical area east of Zinjibar city, which led to deaths and injuries, including civilians.

The sources confirmed that Al-Sayed survived the explosion that targeted him while he was on his way to Zanzibar to attend a celebration at the local authority compound in the city.

The sources confirmed that the explosion killed three soldiers and wounded more than 10, including civilians who were taken to the governorate's hospitals.

After the explosion, Brigadier General Abdul Latif Al-Sayed confirmed that these terrorist operations will only increase the cohesion and strength of the southern forces.

In a statement published by the media center of the Security Belt Forces in Abyan, al-Sayed said, "Terrorism has no religion and that terrorist operations will only increase the southern armed forces and the masses of the southern people with cohesion, strength, will and determination by standing united behind its political and military leadership, its great army and the powerful anti-terrorist apparatus."  To preserve the security and stability of the homeland and to confront terrorism.

 Al-Sayed had mercy on the martyrs of the terrorist crime, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded and vowing to continue the war on terrorism.
