The killings, kidnappings, looting and chaos do not stop for a single day in a governorate that in recent years was considered one of the most prominent governorates that has been hit by an unprecedented insecurity.
Last Friday afternoon, young Walid Al-Badawi was killed near his home east of the city of Ibb, "Khat Baadan", next to the Taj Ibb Hotel, in mysterious circumstances.
The victim's family demanded the security authorities to arrest the killers, accusing a group of people of being behind his murder following regular disputes that occurred with them on the same day.
Incidents take different forms, including clashes between armed men, return bullets that leave many victims, abuses, kidnappings, and even damage to and destruction of the environment, which causes many diseases.
extrajudicial arrests
Abdul Rahman is single. A member of the House of Representatives, on his Facebook page, wonders about the reasons for the arrest of Sheikh Faraj Al-Hardi by the Houthi militia without any justification. He stressed that the matter comes as part of the arbitrariness, humiliation and injustice that targets the dignity of Yemenis.
These abuses come in the shadow of a suspicious silence from the people of the province, the authorities, and the security and judicial authorities, which often do not disclose the reasons and participate in these abuses.
During the past two days, Al-Radmah district witnessed armed clashes between Houthi leaders backed by the Iranian regime, as a result of sharp differences between them.
Local sources confirmed that violent clashes erupted between the leader Abu Jalal Al-Qasimi and another leader named Abu Yahya Al-Siraji in the district, which left a number of dead and wounded, including civilians.
On the other hand, activists confirmed that the city's Criminal Investigation Department had detained journalist Firas Al-Sharjabi for more than a week without knowing the reasons.
According to the sources, the story began when Al-Sharjabi went to the police station to report his stolen phone before he was surprised by his detention.
Miscellaneous events
Since the beginning of this year 2022, the governorate has witnessed a stifling crisis in oil and gas derivatives as a result of the manipulation of those concerned with citizens' quotas, especially gas, as the price of one cylinder reached 20 thousand riyals.
Also, there are many complaints that have been filed against police departments and district directors as a result of the abuses committed against citizens without any response by the so-called “grievance committee”, such as the director of the Al-Aden district, the director of the Al-Sabra district, the director of the Red Najd department, the Security Department of the Al-Sayani Directorate and the security of Al-Qaeda city.
On another topic, the issue of irrigating vegetable farms with sewage water is still current, amid a demand to hold farmers and those concerned with oversight accountable, in light of strong fear of the spread of more epidemics and diseases amid a difficult health situation.
In addition, the prices of a number of foodstuffs had skyrocketed in all districts, including the prices of wheat and oils, in conjunction with the advent of the month of Ramadan, which caused widespread discontent among the people.
