The kidnappings of employees of international organizations in the south confirmed that there is a plan that the Houthi and Brotherhood militias have begun to implement to expel international organizations from the south and the liberated areas for the benefit and flee to the Houthi group’s areas.
The provocations, thefts and pressures faced by international organizations in Houthi-controlled areas, in addition to the group’s recent ban and designation as a terrorist group, made the organizations intensify their efforts in the south and the liberated areas, but the Houthi Brotherhood’s servers are trying in every way to return them to Sana’a and portray the liberated areas as unsafe for these organizations.
Al-Qaeda gunmen, facilitated by the Brotherhood forces in Abyan governorate, had kidnapped 6 employees of an international organization in Modiyah district last month.
The organization's employees are still kidnapped by the organization without any reaction from the pro-Brotherhood forces.
Two foreign employees of the International Doctors Without Borders organization were also kidnapped in the Al-Khashaa area in the Al-Abr district in the Hadhramaut Valley, which is under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood.
In conjunction with the kidnappings, the media of the Houthi militia shed light on what happened to the employees of the organizations, talking about the lack of safety for the organizations and demanding their transfer to its areas.
The Houthi militias are the most beneficiaries of what international organizations are exposed to in the liberated areas, and this is known to all, but it is unreasonable for the organizations to be subjected to kidnapping and harassment in the areas of forces that are said to be loyal to the legitimate government and the Arab coalition, but they facilitate this in the service of the Houthi militia.
The Southern Transitional Council condemned this treacherous terrorist operation that targeted doctors who provide relief and humanitarian aid, which comes a few weeks after a similar terrorist kidnapping in Abyan Governorate, which is dominated by Brotherhood militias, reiterating that the recovery of terrorist organizations in those areas proves with absolute certainty the need for Empowering the southern armed forces, represented by the Security Belt Forces in Abyan Governorate, and the Hadrami Elite Forces in the Hadhramaut Valley and Desert, to play their role in purifying those areas from these terrorist groups and cutting off their danger from all the southern governorates.
Southern politician Dr. Omar Baabad called for the necessity of removing the forces of the first military region, pointing out that their presence means more kidnappings and chaos.
Baabad accused the First Military of being behind these operations that distort the image of Hadhramaut Governorate, indicating that these forces should be on the front lines to fight against the Houthi militia, not in Hadramawt.
The southern journalist, Adnan Al-Ajam, said that this operation that targeted Doctors Without Borders staff comes in light of the approaching departure of the first commander of the Muslim Brotherhood forces in Hadramout Valley, Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar.
Al-Ajam indicated, in his tweet, that the operation came in response to the demands to change Al-Ahmar and to remove the first military region from Wadi Hadramout and push it towards the fronts.
In turn, the southern political activist, Wathiq Al-Hasani, said that if these operations had taken place in areas under the control of the Transitional Council, the Brotherhood's media would have established the world and not seated it.
Al-Hasani added, if the kidnapping took place in Aden for the German and Mexican who work for Doctors Without Borders, and it was not in the Khashem Al-Ain area, in the Hadhramaut Valley controlled by the Yemeni legitimate forces, they would have disturbed the world with their shouting and international reports by the minister, the ambassador, and the young and old are among the Brotherhood’s tools against Transitional Council.
