Al-Zubaidi discusses with the Russian ambassador to address the humanitarian situation and solve the issue of the people of the south

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met, on Saturday, in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi, Timur Zapirov, the Russian ambassador to the sisterly United Arab Emirates.
The meeting, which reviewed the strong historical relations between the south and the Russian Federation, discussed the latest developments in our country and the region, including the peace efforts made by the United Nations with the support of the international community.
The meeting stressed the need to unite and combine all efforts towards finding a comprehensive and just political solution that prioritizes stopping the war, addressing the humanitarian situation, and resolving the issue of the people of the south.
The meeting referred to the latest developments in the region, the importance of combating terrorism, enhancing security and stability, securing international interests, maritime shipping lines, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation expressed his country's support for peace and stability efforts in our country, pointing to the positive role played by the Transitional Council in the same context, and once again the need for effective involvement of the Council within the framework of the comprehensiveness of the political process to ensure real solutions and lasting peace.
