The leader of the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, attacked women in Arab and Islamic countries, and what he described as women's finery, at the same time he defended terrorist organizations and those he described as "believers".
In a public event on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Sana’a, the Houthi leader, who was appointed Mufti of the group, spoke about what he described as “the state of apostasy that has emerged among Arabs and Muslims,” in what is an explicit blasphemy for many Arab and Islamic societies and peoples.
Al-Houthi claimed that these peoples departed from the values, principles and morals that were brought by the prophets, denying the description of terrorism and terrorists on terrorist organizations, saying that things in the Arab and Muslim countries have changed, so the believers are called terrorists and pursuers."
With regard to international relations and the laws and ruling regimes, al-Houthi tried to show a guardianship of Islam and Muslims, saying that “the country of Islam opened its doors to establish military bases of infidelity,” and claimed that Alcohol was permitted, and women wore adornment,” as he put it.
Al-Houthi’s speech came at a public event marking the anniversary of the killing of the group’s founder, Hussein Al-Houthi.
